lost license?

Sorry for posting here, wasn't sure where else to put it.
I am still using MC25, works just fine for me.
I recently got a new tablet and put MC25 on it and when I go to register it tells me it can't find my license. It does this when I manually type in the reg code or if I double click on the .mjr file.
Did the server lose my license

I tried that after manually typing in the reg code, and then using the .mjr file.
still get an error that says it can't find the license
unfortunately can't paste a screen shot

The mjr file is the Install Key and is only good for 14 days.  After that, you need to use your Registration Code to do a Restore:

Yes, I saw that too, before I came here asking.
I click the restore license button from the MC menu, the "restore license" dialog box pops up. I paste in the reg code that was sent to me when I bought MC. An error box pops up saying "we could not find the license".

Don't post any part of your license here.

You have a typo in the 4th character.   Use copy and paste from our e-mail.

sorry about that, just wanted to show what I was doing. (but it did help)
Indeed the 4th char was wrong, I dug up the original email from 2019 and pasted from there and the code was accepted.
I was sure I had done that in the first place, but obviously mistaken.
