Video CDs...  Why Not?
« on: March 06, 2003, 10:10:52 pm »

It seems that MC doesn't play VCDs...  although, obviously there's not a CODEC problem.  Am I going to have to pull the .dat file off of each VCD, rename it an .avi, and reburn the CD in order to play my VCDs - or is VCD support in the near future?

It's not a big deal for me (I only have about 15 VCDs)...  I'd just like to know before I do the work for nothing.

Thanks!

We did that once, but there was too much confusion with files like accounting.dat.

You may be able to drag a dat file onto the player window (lower left).

If you don't mind editing the registry, you could probably add it as a supported file type.
