I just uninstalled MC 29 and installed MC 30.

After the first start I noticed that I've lost my settings because "run auto-import in background" or "run import on empty libraries" is enabled now - which were not. I also can't remember what I've modified all over the time.

But I still have all the folders:

%APPDATA%\J River\Media Center 30

Can I delete the folder 30 and copy all files from 29 to 30 and then restart MC 30 or any other instructions?

Don't delete anything just yet. I would start v30 and there try to import latest v29 library backup (one should have been created when you upgraded) to it. It should restore all your settings also.

No library backup was done: Existing directories in my user folder.

Should I use the version 29 / September backup to restore in 30?

However, my library always was empty I only would need the settings. The setting in latest library backup would be enough.

Yeah, if the library was empty you can just import library from the backup and hopefully it brings back your settings

Search for *.zip to find backup files.

You can also try reinstalling your old version, making a backup manually, then restoring that in MC30.

Yes, restoring from MC 29 has worked. Also had restoring options library and settings.
