Hello

I got a PC with a dedicated GPU (RTX 2060).
When choosing Red October HQ in General Video Settings, the display of the video looks much dimmer, causing the movie to show darker (but quality is better)
While choosing Red October Standar, shows the movie much better in terms of Contrast, but quality is much lower.
Using Media Center 28.0.106 (64bit, on Win 11)

Any idea how to fix it?

Please hit CTRL+J during playback and take a screenshot of the 'info' that shows up.
You may need to configure MadVR yourself but this is quite interesting. I've never used the presets here but curious about this.

As you can see the Contrast of the womans sweater is very dark on Red October HQ

Can you also screenshot that CTRL+J OSD for Red October Standard or does Standard not have it?

Red October Standard doesn't have that option...

You are playing a HDR video. RO Standard does not actually support HDR, and the image you are seeing in RO Standard is not how its meant to look. It looks bright and without depth.
madVR is closer to how it was intended, although it seems you are playing with HDR pass-through enabled, which means the screen is responsible for the image quality.
