separate iso file

can I use mc30 to separate iso file to dsf using the bulit in converter?

You can, but it goes through a PCM conversion step in the middle which is always a lossy conversion. DSD > PCM > DSD.

What I would recommend is using sacd_extract with ISO2DSD as a frontend to extract (and not convert) DSF files from a SACD ISO.

Thank you for your assistance, it worked great for most iso files, but there are some downloaded iso files that cannot be extracted by isodsd, is it better to convert them to flac or wav using jriver's convertor?

Also, how about converting dff  to dsf? Does it also go through pcm too?

All DSD conversions in Media Center always go through a PCM step in the middle (and there's no way around that), so they're always going to be lossy.

Regarding ISOs not working, which ones? You might have to use the command line version of sacd_extract with those, not sure. Personally, I never use a frontend, I always do my DSD extracting from the command line.

Some Japanese sacd iso that I downloaded did not work (in fact only 2) I converted then to flac

Just as long as you know and accept it's a lossy conversion when doing that, that's perfectly fine. Enjoy!

How about wmv/aiff to flac or wmv to aiff conversion?  Also lossy?

WMV? That's a video format, isn't it? AIFF to FLAC and vice versa is a lossless conversion though, assuming it was ripped/sourced as lossless.
