Music Sticking
« on: December 21, 2022, 03:30:21 pm »

I have Media Center 29. A problem has just recently developed and I don't know what to do. Frequently when I get to the end of a song the last second or two just keeps repeating. It's like an LP that has some defect that causes the needle not to move to the next groove.

I have set the output device to direct sound though I have an Audioquest Dragonfly output but if I use the WASAPI option I get the error message "Playback could not be started on the output WASAPI using the format 48 kHz 2ch".

If I use the Audioquest Dragonfly Direct Sound option it will play, but it will also "stick" at the end of a song.

I have no problem playing my music files with other music players so there's nothing wrong with the files.
MediaCenter was working fine up to about a week ago so maybe something happened with a recent Windows update.

I could really use some help in resolving this problem.

Thanks
Frank

Use DSP Studio > Output Settings to convert to whatever does work.
