DSD256 stops @ 12:46 - might be 2GB file limit - with Sonore Rendu

<< < (5/5)

bahringe:
I turned off Audio Buffer to disk. restarted and retested - same issue 12:41

bahringe:
Not sure which advanced you intended.

bob:
Since it appears you are playing to a DLNA renderer, only the DLNA server and controller settings will make any difference.
You might try enabling the DoP switch in the advanced audio settings.
You should also make sure that the controller options for the zone you are playing to (right-click on the zone and check the DLNA controller options) are using the DLNA server instance that you've configured.

If that doesn't work, there is a possibility that your DLNA rendering device has a 2GB limit on files streamed to it over the network.

bahringe:
I tried the DoP switch in the advanced settings and the result was no sound as the file looked like it was playing.
I did double check and verify that the DLNA server instance was selected for the zone I am playing to.
I also suspect the renderer may have a limit, I have contacted Jesus over at Sonore. I'll update with any new info.
Also updated to MC 30.0.47
BTW when it plays it sounds fantastic.........

bahringe:
SOLVED.

I tried a 3rd renderer this time a microRendu and set it up as DLNA device and streamed the exact same settings as I had been using before. No issues (other than it's a mR and not a full sized Rendu - oh well) I'll pursue this with Jesus on the Sonore support page to see if this can be fixed somehow. I want to thank all that chimed in with support, help, and ideas. This area of technology is mystery science enuf glad I got your assistance.

Eric
