Multichannel VST XO
« on: January 08, 2023, 05:30:09 am »

Hi all,

I bought an ESI Gigaport HD+ 8 channel USB Dac to use with my favorite equalizer VST plugin from DMG Audio. This VST should be able to process multichannel.
Would like to process 4 channels in the equalizer for XO duty.

The Dac has an ASIO driver and works fine. I can for example assign channels to the 8 outputs in DSP manager output section and confirm they work.

But, after a lot trying, I can not get more than 2 channels working in the VST plugin. It says : “this instance has 2 channels”.
In my understanding, the plugin should show multiple channels.

So my question, does JRiver need to be configured differently, is it a limatation in VST support, the VST itself or something else? Anyone experience with this?

Regards.

Solved. Using VST3 version solved it, and the plugin now displays all channels.
