Fill a custom field with non-supported ID3V2 tag f
« on: March 03, 2003, 08:10:51 am »

I'm still trying to find a way for MC to read all of my ID3V2 tags. Since you do not support TPE2, TPE3, and others in the database, perhaps there is another way.

If I look at the file properties, I see that you display all of this information, so clearly you are reading it.

Is it possible to have MC copy data from an ID3V2 tag field into a custom field. Then I could create my own custom fields for conductor, orchestra, etc. and fill them in with data from the tags.

Perhaps this means expanding the move/copy feature to allow coping of tag fields not supported in the database to custom fields.

I'd be happy if this was read only. I can use other programs to create the tags.

For my purposes, a resolution to this problem is a "must-have."

I would Prefer that all id3v2 tags are supported then it would not be an issue.

I agree 100%.

But this doesn't seem to be anywhere in the development plan.
