Bug in MC 30 and Dirac VST plugin
« on: January 10, 2023, 11:27:08 am »

Hi,

recently I've updated my MC 29 version to MC 30 on my HTPC (windows 10) with the VST 3 plugin of Dirac Live.

This update is globally OK though there is a strange behaviour  : the MC player is freezing a few seconds each time I play (or stop) a video. This is very annoying !

PS : I have the MC29 on the same PC and no problem.
please note that I have to uninstall the VST module (in the dsp screen) in MC 30 to suppress the freeze.

PS 2: I've stopped temporarily my Windows Defender AV but the freeze still remains

We now flush VST3 plugins on stop.  This can cause a little delay.  It makes filters clean when playback starts again which is important.

Build 39 makes this change:
Changed: Switched the VST flush of silence from five second to three seconds to make stopping a little faster with slow filters.

We may make the delay configurable.

Hi,
I've updated MC to v30.65 but the delay of a few seconds when stopping playback is still here.

Have you planed a version with configurable delay because 3 seconds is still far too long compared to MC 29 (and with no benefit in my case)

Thanks for your reply
