BUG: Failed YADB Lookup - NEW INFO!

Well, I found a really nice HTTP sniffer program at http://analyzer.polito.it/ and I think I see the problem with YADB lookups from my machine:

YADB Request from MC:

GET /cgi-bin/cgi-lookup.cgi?hash=1744079350&offsets=150,27005,48447,71330,94060,118377,140080,141652,167045,191765 HTTP 1.1


Same Request generated from Internet Explorer:

GET /cgi-bin/cgi-lookup.cgi?hash=1744079350&offsets=150,27005,48447,71330,94060,118377,140080,141652,167045,191765 HTTP/1.1


*** Notice the '/' missing between HTTP and 1.1 in the YADB request ***

The request from Internet Explorer returns the correct information.

This is for a track lookup, right?  Not a CD lookup?

No, this was a CD lookup.

However, it seems the '/' is missing from all network connection headers on my machine including:

Start -> For the latest MC news "click here"
Track Lookup
CD lookup
...

Please post your system info from MC help.

Is it a European system?  Can something be stripping out the "/" ?

This is a US based machine.  All MJ8's and MC9's up through 9.0.88 worked as far as I can remember.

The machine is a Nforce based MSI motherboard with an Althlon XP2100+ and 512MB of memory.  I have no firewall software running on the machine.  So, the only thing that could be removing the '/' is MC or Windows XP.  Internet Explorer is sending it's requests with the '/', so I doubt it's the OS.

We think it's fixed in build 123, just out.

Well, good, but you deserve a lot of credit for approaching the problem with such patience and tenacity.  We had looked and looked but couldn't find it.

The problem was that we had a newer MS network component on the testing machines, and it was adding the slash when it found it missing, so we could never duplicate the problem.

I hope that this may solve some of the other network problems we've had in the last 3 weeks.

well MC has found one cd that it could not find before, i will need to go thru the not found pile again and see what happens.
