Stuck in Scanning Music Library

Does it have a SDCard in it?
If so, remove it and try again.
If not, when you plug it in before powering on, does it show up on your PC at all (what is your PC, windows, Mac or linux)?

No SD card. Because it won’t stop scanning, when I plug it into my PC laptop, it doesn’t pop up. I may try another laptop to see if that works

Try holding down the O button for 10 seconds. That's supposed to do a hard reset.

Did a few hard-resets, and nothing changes. The pono is perpetually stuck on "Scanning Music Library" - tried everything I know how to do (let the battery die, tried resetting/hard-resetting, plugging it into a pc, etc). Very frustrating thing
