I've started using MC for photos and videos after years of music only. It's pretty good.
The convert or resize function could be really useful for saving disk space for photos that don't need to be highest quality. Currently though the new image loses its taken date which is important data.
Some suggestions.
- an option to preserve the tag data, especially the taken date and album name, and maybe added a modified date.
- when selecting 'Create resized copy in this folder' default to the current folder of the image.
- when selecting the the preset sizes with 'Maintain aspect ratio' checked it uses the second dimension. Eg. Medium (1280 x 720) actually becomes 960 x 720 for most of my pictures. Fine if you know but not made clear.
- Would be good if the custom size let you fill in one dimension and automatically filled the other if 'Maintain aspect ratio' is checked.
Just some thoughts.
