Author Topic: When playing through WDM/IPC, MC blocks play/pause/prev/next keys from player  (Read 397 times)

When I use e.g. Deezer and stream music through the MC WDM driver, MC still listens to and responds to multimedia keys but it should not.  In addition it absorbs these keys and the active media player (Deezer) never sees them.  So, Prev/Next keyboard buttons don't reach Deezer which is very inconvenient.  MC should un-register from these events when playing the WDM/IPC zone so that Deezer etc can respond to them as they should.

It's even worse if I play music in MC first, then stop it, then play in Deezer.  When I press Play/Pause, the command does not reach Deezer and MC responds by playing the non-WDM/IPC song it played previously.  This causes 2 music players to play at the same time!

In short, while on the IPC zone, MC should un-register from these events as if it were not running at all.

Take a look at the options for Media Keys.

Thanks!  Disabling "enable media keys when running as media server" does the job.
