Final Bug Reports / Requests for MC9
« on: February 24, 2003, 06:13:43 pm »

OK, I downloaded MC9 v9.0.120.  Here are the final problems that need to be fixed:
  • CD-burner track gap problem (see below)
  • Replay gain volume problem (see below)
  • Max. peak value normalization reimplemented for CD burning (please??)
OK, the CD burner track problem has been reported by me a few times already.  So here we go again.  When burning an audio CD (CD text enabled, DSP/Effects NOT enabled), after about 10 tracks or so into the CD, the tracks begin to start at the end of the previous track (about a second or so off).  I have tried this with many different files and such.  The only way I have not yet tried it is without CD text (I've wasted so many CDs already).

The Replay Gain problem I have also reported before.  When playing a file that is not analyzed when the player is stopped (such as a recent download), and then loading a file out of the library that has been analyzed to play (w/o stopping, w/ crossfade), the song will play too quiet, unless I stop and then play again.

Finally, I was told an option to normalize to the max. peak value will be added back to the DSP Studio, mainly for CD burning.  I'm still waiting :-).

Once these three issues are corrected/added, I will be EXTREMELY please with the product.  Thanks for such an excellent program!
