Playback Issue Details "Failed merit based rendering"

On one of my Desktops i got this error trying to play .mp4 file.

Anyone experienced this. Any help will be appreciated

Audio or video?  Do other mp4 files play on that machine?  Is it connected to the Internet?  MC may need to download a file.

That error occurs only if you choose Video mode "Advanced: Windows merit based (not recommended)".  There is really no reason to use that mode (that is why it is "not recommended").  Try switching to Red October JRVR, or Red October Standard.
