Importing Autoimport settings
« on: May 12, 2023, 02:17:59 pm »

Have not upgraded my MC since MC28 ... jump on MC31 ... .... during installation old library got migrated to MC31 without issue ... but autoimport settings didn't get migrated ... is this normal? ... anyway to migrate autoimport settings from MC28?

Supposed can do it manually if need to ... but that's a lot of work lol

When you restore a library, you can also choose to transfer settings.

Aha, that is an interesting tip about re importing auto import settings. Thanks
And, can one
1. just import the settings and then let the auto import do its stuff.....
2. Also, import the same settings on multiple computers some how....

So I set up my auto import and do the import, discover that some stuff is not looking as good as it could, so I clear the library and do it again with new movie names or other content corrections. Each time I have to go through and add about 5 or five folders to the auto import list, quite tedious really.
Then once I have got it right on the setup system I like to repeat the set up on at least one other computer. I have two media centers.
If I could just save an ini or xml file on the media server, somewhere near the media, that would be a big labor saver to me.
This product is overall exceptionally good. I really appreciate how well JRiver MC works and how versatile it is. Thanks massively. very much appreciated.

Just sorted it out, I can just copy the backup file to other systems, seems to work fine. Thanks
