Playing Now: Stop-Start reverts back to Track 1 in Playlist
« on: August 16, 2023, 12:55:03 pm »

Have scanned through recent issues/solutions and can't find a solution for this:

When playing songs in a playlist, which is mostly how I use MC, when Stop is pressed at any track number, resuming playback starts back up at track #1 in the playlist. MC doesn't play the next logical track after playback has been stopped.

This is a recent problem that has appeared in Version 31 and I have not encountered in previous builds.

Any resolution for this? It makes music playback fairly frustrating.

Check your Play button setting in Options > General > Behavior.  It sounds like you want "Play Playing Now" instead of playing the visible files.

Thanks Matt! That solves my problem. Looks like there are many other playback options under 'Behavior'.

The settings for Double Click are something you should definitely investigate.

Understanding Playing Now is also a very good thing to learn with MC.  Playing Now makes MC operate a little differently than other players you might be familiar with.  PN is very powerful.  It can be used simply or it can do more.  Getting comfortable with it is a good step in mastering MC.

Best of luck.
