Need Advice/Fix
« on: October 01, 2023, 10:44:42 am »

MC30 and MC31.  Every couple of months my library rebuilds, at least in part.  The library is quite large and this can be extremely annoying as you can imagine.

The first problem, all Recent lists are lost.  It has no idea when anything was added to the library and thus if I want to find something by when it was imported, this is now almost impossible.

I am using a Library Server, FYI.  What I would like to do is have a way for the program to simply rebuild my library on demand, using the file/folder structure I have set, as this would keep artists work together (for the most part - in Recent) and would make some logical sense.  I know I can delete the entire library and reimport, but this takes overnight and is extremely burdensome.

1) Has anyone else had their library spontaneously rebuild itself?  Fix?
2) How can I trigger a complete rebuild of the library without having to delete it first?

Thanks

That shouldn't happen, but you could always restore a backup.  MC makes them automatically.

Where are these stored and how do I restore them?

Thanks!
