Moving from Windows to Mac
«

I had a large library with MC31 and made a backup.
The files where located at P:\M\...
I installed MC 31 on my new Mac and restored the library.
I copied my musik to a volume called musik.
Then I updated my database to the volume musik on my mac.
The file path at the mac ist now e.g. /Volumes/Musik/2
If i configure autoupdate of the folder "2" at my volume Musik I get new files with the following path: \Volumes\Musik\2
Can anybody tell me exactly what to to if I want to update my database at the new Mac?
I´m totally confused about the "/" and the "\"

You may need to edit the "platform.jmd" file after restoring the backup to switch it from "Windows" to "Linux" (not sure what the correct value is for MacOS).
Take a look at this:

Search the forum for "platform.jmd" for more cases.

MacOS is a Linux variant (not really, but close enough). Just use the Linux instructions, they're the same.
