I wanted to add the field Descriptions as tooltips but unfortunately the MCWS API doesn't provide them, so that's a no go.

Next build:
Changed: When a field has a description, it is returned in the Library/Fields call.

Hey Zybex,

I am having a problem where if I try and copy something out of the embedded wiki the formatting gets all wonky.  I have included a screenshot for ya.



I was trying to select "valueN" and it selected a bunch of random stuff above it plus screwed up the index.  Also, I noticed that there are now two scrollbars on the right of that window.

Hi Moe, thanks for the report. I can reproduce it.
It seems it's caused by a change in the Wiki CSS which makes it incompatible with the IE6-based engine that C#/Zelda uses. I can almost fix it, there's just one weird behavior left. I may have to switch to a WebView2 chromium-based component.

The Wiki formatting issue is fixed in v1.8.5 - I switched to WebView2 (Chromium-based Edge browser, same as MC uses).
Please update and let me know if you see some issues with the Wiki viewer.

Not sure what's happened, but Zelda doesn't start for me anymore. Is there a cache or configuration I can delete to reset it somehow?

Hi Doof, you can try renaming the %localappdata%\Zelda folder (c:\users\<yourUser>\AppData\Local\Zelda)
There's also a log file in the %TEMP%\Zelda folder, maybe check it first to see if there's any error/exception logged.

Safe Mode:
The Safe Mode feature is enabled by default and can be disabled in settings. This feature detects when SetField() or ShellRun() functions are used in an expression and automatically disables the continuous expression execution to prevent unintended consequences of executing the expression many times in a row. When Safe Mode is engaged, you need to press F5 or click on the Execute button to run the expression once.

Looks like Dark Mode feature (experimental) is available on Net9. I'll test and make the switch if it works well, else will wait for Net10.

I've tested net9's Dark Mode... it's only partially implemented so lots of tweaking is still needed. I'll wait for Net10.

Understood. Can you make font colours moddable? I don't much care if borders and such are light. I just would like to use darker canvas background as my eyes doesn't seem to tolerate brights as they used to and if i set background darker then font palette conflicts hard with that.

I've added some initial support to customize the colors - sent you a PM with a download link for testing.
Main windows theme is still Light, but the expression editor and output/render panels are now fully customizable.

This version adds a partial Dark Theme to the UI. For now, only the syntax highlight, Expression Editor and Output tab colors are customizable via a JSON file. The windows and button colors are still Light-themed until Net9/Net10 adds full support for Dark Theme in C#.

Customizing theme colors
You can change the theme colors by opening ZeldaLight.json or ZeldaDark.json in notepad (there's a button in Settings to do that).
- Colors can be entered in hex/html format like #7FFF00 or using a color name from this list
- Highlight colors can also have a transparency added, either in hex: #807FFF00), as a percentage: "#FF4040,50%" or name: "Chartreuse,50%"

You can reload the JSON theme by pressing CTRL+F10 (or CTRL+Click on the Settings button). This allows to quickly try out new colors as you edit the file.

I get comfy using this app when it comes to tab linked to MC. And because of this, the app crash and reset all my linked tabs. Any chance to recover them?

That's unfortunate :/

Please check in %localappdata%\Zelda folder - there should be a zeldaState.bak file, open it with notepad to see if it contains your expressions. If so, just rename it back to zeldaState.json.
If you have backups you can also find a previous version of this json file.

Please send me the crash/exception details if you have it.
