Bitstreaming not working [Solved]
« on: January 12, 2024, 03:16:06 pm »

I had bitstreaming working fine with my Arcam irDac2 on around MC version 29
then I updated, and bitstreaming has new options....
well I enable it for (DSD or DSDx1 and x2) but my irDAC2 outputs noise only

my driver is ASIO for Arcam IrDac2 but there's no mention if this is Asio 1, or 2.2
I recently changed PC from a Mini Geekom IT11 i7 to a Mini Geekom IT13 i9

Before I revert to MC 29 does anyone have a clue what's going on?
Thanks, Roland

I'm on to a solution, stumbled by accident
I think it's to do with system sounds perhaps trying to mix in with the DSD stream...
because when I change the volume with my new keyboard (via F2 or F3) anything but 100% results in noise
but I remember pure DSD streaming via ASIO should not be changeable with a volume change

I'll find the answer... I have to decouple the computer's involvement with the stream
any help appreciated thx

Make sure the system volume and MC's internal volume is set to 100% as this can be required for some DACs.
