I have searched here for solutions and while I've found a few from years past I've not seen any that seem to help me with my problem.
Long story short.....my nas died. Lost all files. EVERYTHING. Luckily i had an offsite backup. Restored that backup to a new nas.
I run two libraries....one in my listening room and the other in my familyroom that several other clients use throughout the house and my off site office.
Both of these machines are running 31.87.
After completing th restore on the nas I ran import on both machines/libraries. The one in the living room appears to have an accurate import of all of my files.... 114,397 but the one in my listening room shows only 96,227. many albums are missing and many albums only have one or two tracks. I don't get it. I've tried reimporting.....I made sure that "Ignore files previously deleted" is NOT checked......all of the very same folders / paths are the same on both machines/Libraries. Of course, I could load the Living room library on the pc I have in my listening room but that isn't a fix I want. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
