Hello-

I'm running Windows 10, and MC 32.0.20 (64 bit).

My chosen audio device is "S/PDIF Pass-through Device (Asus Xonar Essence STX Audio Device) [WASAPI].

With this setup it is telling me I have a I have "44.1 khz 24 bit 2 channel using WASAPI exclusive (Direct Connection).

My question is as follows: Is this "Direct Connection" for the audio signal after it has passed through my sound card and is leaving my computer to go to my DAC, or is it only indicating it is a Direct Connection leaving Media Center 32 before going to my sound card?

I believe "Direct Connection" means it is bypassing the Windows Audio Mixer and so is bit perfect to your audio card.
