HDR to HDR tonemapping question

Hello, I have a quick question regarding tone mapping:

I have been using HDR to HDR tonemapping and would like to ask if features like this (introduced on 32.0.25), do apply to both HDR to SDR and HDR to HDR:

" The default JRVR tonemapping spline curve has been changed to favor a more lively "popping" image in dark scenes"

It applies to both, but its impact is more perceivable at low brightness targets.
