how to get Atmos mkv files to play on my Mac mini?

Computer >>> HDMI >>> Marantz AV10

I have JRiver 32 on my Windows PC and it plays Atmos MKV files just fine.
I have JRiver 32 on my Mac mini and it plays the files but not Atmos.

is it possible?

sorry to answer my own post, but after digging into this it appears that Apple will not let True HD Atmos play out of any of their devices.
