Problems - JR buffers and then crashes

When I am doing jobs in the background, i.e. moving files from one disc to another, JR 32 crashes or first of all starts buffering and then crashes. I have win 11. memory 16 gb, latest updates Win 11. This has never happed before on earlier versions of JR

Internal drives?  USB?  NAS?
