Unicode support for MC9? Ipod user needs help....
« on: February 02, 2003, 07:33:17 am »

Heard there is unicode support for MC9, so downloaded it to try for my ipod....

But it fails to read the chinese id3-tags for my songs.

I've got the screenshots, but cannot post them here....

Can anyone help? I'm using Big5 unicode characters. You can find out more by searching for "njstar" i think...

Thanks in advance...this would be a very important feature for me...cos only xplay has this feature now...

It should work.  Make sure you have the latest version.  9.0.105.   And the latest iPod plug-in.

I'm afraid it won't help for us to see it.

Did you try tagging a file with MC?  Does that work?

kennyboy,

The iPod plug-in is not converted to Unicode yet. An update will be posted next week.

Kennyboy,

You will not have to retag your files.  Just wait until the Unicode Plug-in is built and posted.

the problem is that even chinese tagged songs on my HD do not display at all. So it definitely isn't the plug in fault.

KennyBoy and JNKH,

With the 9.0.01 Plug-in and MC 9.0.108 you should be able to transfer and play Unicode named songs. The tagging is currently messed up in MC but will be fixed.
