DSD not working

<< < (2/4) > >>

Awesome Donkey:
I kinda doubt it's related to the OS itself, otherwise there'd be other reports of it. Can you post screenshots of your MC's Options > Audio window, the DSP Studio > Output Format window and the Audio Path when playing back and not hearing anything? Screenshot of the Audio MIDI Setup app likely would help too. Looking at the specs for your DAC it should support both DSD64 and DSD128 over DoP as it supports a max sample rate of 352.8 kHz.

This issue really sounds to me the issue is caused by some volume level isn't set to 100% somewhere because this exact thing can happen where there's no sound on playback (and more importantly no errors).

bob:
Also turn on logging in MC and send a log of trying to play a DSD file. MC does extensive logging of the device opening and configuring on playback on MacOS.

bob:
Turn off memory playback, you don't want the DSD decoded into memory. If that's it we should probably prevent that from being used.
