licence: I am becoming crazy...
« on: February 05, 2003, 10:03:26 am »

I just installed 107 and it ask me to register again. I was using 105 since a few days without problem (after a new restore 2 weeks ago...).

I have this problem only on my laptop, since months. I tried as recommended using another "user profile" without result: sometime I can use MC a few days without problem and sudenly (not necessary after to install a new build) it ask me to register.

At this rythm I will waste all my restores very quickly :-(

Is there a way to remove all traces of MC in my system in order to clean up the situation and to let me do a "clean install" of MC ?

hehe, aye sir.  boot from a DOS boot-disk and, when you get to a prompt, type "FORMAT C:"

that'll take care of any residual registry entries, fo sho!  ;D ;D

Sometimes time programs get it wrong.  Mine set it back a day yesterday, and I've seen it set it back years.

I am sorry but it is not the problem here.

A question: I just uninstalled MC (including database), then I reinstalled it. Checking "registering info" I can check I am registered still. Is it a normal behaviour or a clue to diagnostic the problem ?

As I said it is not the case here but anyway I am registered so it should not have time checking for trial period, no it isn't ?

Moreover, I just tried to set 2004 and to run MC: no problem. So...
