I wanted to ask and look for insight on HDCD detection/playback. Some HDCDs (Buffalo Springfield) I have ripped through JRiver are detected as HDCD (1) though the Music Analyzer. Some HDCDs (Van Halen) are labeled as HDCDs, but the JRiver Music Analyzer does not detect them as HDCD (0). Others CDs are not labeled as HDCD (Jimmy Buffett) but JRiver identifies them as HDCD (1).
I saw a thread from 2021 which discussed this issue regarding mastering and markers. There was a link
