Approx 2 to 3 framedrops and repeated frames on low fps movies [Solved]

<< < (4/4)

Hendrik:
Glitches are a system issue - the graphics card failed to output a frame at time X and instead had to delay it for N frames, however many that was. It can be caused by all sorts of things.

I played 4 movies now using jrvr(quality preset). I get 1 repeated frame per hour. No framedrops. I did not watch, but I think repeated frames are less noticeable than drops. I started a fifth movie remux "There will be blood" and checked osd after 20 minutes and I got 1 drop and 2 repeated frames. Before I started the movie I checked the windows settings/apps/advanced settings to see if "log on with microsoft account to continue appexperiences across your units". This was logged on this time. sometimes there is just a yellow line that says log on, which is not possible to do, when one try to log on manually by clicking "log on". But this was logged on before I started the movie and when I saw drops and repeated frames, then I went into check if this could be it. This time it must have been this that triggered it. It turned itself off during movie play and triggered a drop and 2 repeated frames.

I have have had problems with this on and off at start up of windows and also like now after start up it log itself off. Why does this happen, I dont know. Maybe it have something to do with the windows install. Anyway this must have been what triggered the drop...

tkolsto:
My microsoft account is corrupted or something. By changing it to local account, the advanced app setting stayed logged off, thus not creating any drops. So it was essentially my microsoft account that triggered it. I tried to do many fixes, by using cmd fixes of corrupted files, but to no avail. Trying out a new microsoft account the problem was solved and the app advanced setting did not log off, but stayed logged on.

So now I have 1 repeated frame every hour, with hardware accelerate when decoding...ticked on, like Jim suggested. So this is very good.
