Anybody know where the playlist are stored?  I want to use media monkey to copy my playlist to a IPhone.

playlists.jmd

You could export the playlists, if you can find a format that Apple will read.

If I knew where they are I can import to media monkey and sync to the phone.  Still hard to believe they don’t support the biggest portable market

In MC, playlists are stored as part of the library in a file called playlistx.jmd

Only MC can read this. From within MC, you need to use the export playlist tool to create footnote playlists that other applications can read. There are many choices to make in that export tool, and I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you specifically need to choose in there.

Speaking of, would it be possible to get an "M3U8 (without leading dot)" playlist format option? I would like it specifically for the handheld sync tool, but I'm guessing that the code is shared with the export playlists tool?

Exporting to M3U8 uses the path without drive for me.  Here's an example output line:
Data\Media\Music\APE\Jewel\Freewheelin' Woman\Jewel - Freewheelin' Woman - 08 - Living With Your Memory.ape

So I'm not seeing a leading dot.  Could you help me reproduce that?  Thanks.

It makes the paths relative to the exported playlist.  So if you export to C:\ and have the files on C:\, it uses a dot.

We could make something like "M3U8 Playlist (not relative paths)" but help us understand why that would be useful.

Thanks.
