Remote access to metadata fields
« on: August 10, 2024, 12:54:39 pm »

Up until recently, I used EOS on my Android phone because it allowed me to see the "Last Played" field on each track. Sadly, I cannot install the EOS APK on my new Galaxy Flip 6 despite changing the security settings.

Is there a current Android remote that lets me see the Last Played field?

Yes, I can see that field (and others) in JRemote2. For media (music in this case) not currently playing, press the 3 dots on the right side of the track name and select Metadata. During playback use the circle with an i in the center (AKA info) button, it's in the bottom right corner (above where it says FLAC) in this screenshot...

And here's how the metadata (and the Last Played field) appears when you press the info button during playback or access the metadata menu via the 3 dots button.

MO 4Media also has a similar type of feature, a Show Tags menu item though it doesn't appearing in its 3 dots menu in the playing now tab. Might be something that I'll try to remember to request next time I'm posting stuff in its topic.
