Problems with crashes
« on: August 29, 2024, 07:25:15 pm »

I've had problems in the past - some which were due to some corrupt media files but I was able to get rid of the corrupt files and the program ran O.K.for a while.

Now I'm having a problem of the program crashing after using it for a little while. Sometimes it will crash when I'm just browsing - other times it will crash while it's playing a file and just before it dies the music sound like a record with the needle stuck in the groove repeating the same few words from a song several times and then dying.

I no longer have a third party antivirus program and am using Windows Defender.
I have attached the log file and I hope that someone will be able to help me resolve this problem.

Crashes are almost always due to antivirus or drivers.

Try changing your audio settings.

What should I change the audio settings to?

Did the crash log I sent provide any useful information as to the cause of the crash?

At this point the program is almost unusable because it will always crash after some uncertain period of time.

I just tried to run the program and it crashed on the first song. I hope someone can help unravel this problem.

I'm enclosing the most recent crash dump and hope the info there will help

THanks in advance
