DSP window flashing

(1/2) > >>

HPBEME:
With the DSP window open, scroll your mouse anywhere outside of its borders and the DSP window flashes in time with scrolling.

And while you're fixing that, can you please restore the old DSP Window behavior?  I really miss having dedicated zone DSP windows always available to access.  It used to be available via task view like every other open window. Thanks in advance.

Matt:
I'm not seeing any flashing.  What DSP?  Do I need to do anything in the other window I'm over?  Thanks.

HPBEME:
I'm not sure what you mean when you ask "what DSP?".  There is only the one DSP dialog as far as I know.

If you mean which DSP category is active when I see the issue, the flashing happens no matter which is selected (output format, volume leveling, equalizer, parametric EQ, effects, analyzer, convolution, etc.).  If I scroll my mouse outside the dialog borders (to navigate down a file list for example) the DSP dialog flashes exactly in sync with the scrolling.

I had not updated my graphics driver for a while, so I did that but the problem remains.  The issue arose, or at least appeared to, after I installed MC33, as I never saw this with MC 32.  That said, maybe a Logitech mouse driver update is responsible, as those happen in the background.  I will try to get that rolled back and see if it fixes things.  That said, given the prolific use of Logitech mice, I have to think other people would have experienced the same issue if the mouse driver were responsible, but nobody has chimed in yet with "me too".

Awesome Donkey:
You'd probably have to post a video of it happening, as these type of issues can be hard to catch at first (or second) glance.

HPBEME:
I debated that, but really, the issue is not subtle.  As I scroll the wheel the DSP window literally disappears and reappears at the same rate that I'm scrolling my wheel.  It is not something anyone would miss.

"So why not make a video anyway" one might ask?  Mainly because I've never done a screen recording and do not have time to figure out how at the moment.  Someday I want to learn how to make those, but anyone who may be having the same issue, it cannot be missed.
