Mch aiff playback issue

Hi. Really cool sw that I've used problably about 10+ years now.
BACKGROUND
Win10
MC 30.0.96 64-bit
Here are my DSP settings - pretty normal. (I just reinstalled a “new” old labtop, so no changes or preferred settings.)

SUMMARY
I have a 6ch aiff file that I created from an SACD with AuI Converter 48x44 PROduce-RD 12.4.0 (64-bit).
Here is the aiff file:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/a2p69w9x0gz70j6hjxc13/mch_03-09-_03-LIFE-IN-THE-FAST-LANE.aiff?rlkey=w0uj706n8x0vvyn33j8w2iudu&st=gbfefyd5&dl=1
PROBLEM
When I play the aiff in MC on my desktop or via JRemote to my iPhone, the 2ch mixdown from mch seems very off. It seems like a channel is being muted or its level is being significantly reduced.
— For the aiff I posted, it seems like "ch6" - the last one that would show in Audacity.
— I can play the mch aiff file in vlc or Audacity and the (automatic/default) 2ch mixdown seems fine.
— I can play the aiff file on my iPhone via the dropbox app, and it plays fine - no AirPods.
— I can save the aiff to “Files” on the iPhone and it plays fine - no AirPods.
I can replicate this issue with other 6ch recordings.
What am I doing incorrectly?

— Can someone on MC v30 please download the aiff in question from the op and see if the same problem is present? Playing from the MC desktop should be enough of a test.
— Maybe it already exists in MC, but having a feature that allows for the muting of one channel or multiple/all channels while audio is playing would be really useful - similar to what Audacity does with a “mute” button for each channel within the audio track.

Have you checked DSP Studio > Output Format > Channels settings? If so you might try MC33 and see if this still happens as Matt has been doing some work on multichannel audio stuff in DSP Studio too.

I literally just installed 30 in Feb. 😎 No worries - that was me that purchased 33 today.
I’ll play around with the output settings. I may post additional questions in the 33 forum. Thanks!
