maid - I'm not absolutely certain if this is a valid test but I put an image that has nothing to do with anything in my MC Library into the MC CoverArt/Albums folder and the MC33 Clean Cover Art option removed it.

Not sure if that test helps as it is cover art that stays even tho there is no show any more
