Invalid package file. Cannot continue
« on: October 07, 2003, 12:00:37 am »

This is the message I get when I try to download the mp3 plugin.  I tried uninstalling my firewall and turning off the antivirus; still same failure message.  I'm using IE 6.02 and have the security set on the default setting.   :-/ Any ideas?

well there was one thing where users were having problems downloading and installing plug-ins where the IE folders were full. using the delete option in IE would fix the problem.

also if you use the search option for the above problem you will see many help messages for this problem.

There is a work-around for plug-in download problems in the FAQ.

Turn off any download managers you use.

Some virus checkers and firewalls may remain active even when disabled.  Uninstalling can solve this.
