Import not working
« on: March 30, 2025, 01:57:48 pm »

Can someone please explain why Importing a folder does not import the folder?

Why AutoImport also does not import said folder?

Item in question: Law & Order TV Show, first season, all five disks.
All disks were ripped usual process, which normally works.
Shifting, renaming folders has no effect.
Importing Single Folder has no effect.

Process: see attached.

The last image in the PDF is what MC displays when it can't find correct cover art.

Check the file types you're importing and look for any exclusions in your auto import rules.

The stray image is coming from a server and is out of our control.   I can only recommend that you check your work.

Are you importing from a NAS?

You didn't mention the types of files you're trying to import, specifically the file types?

Standard files from DVD rip:
AUDIO_TS folder (empty)
VIDEO_TS folder (.vob, .bup, .ifo files)   6.95 GB of files.

Importing from wired NAS, per usual.
No changes to anything hardware or software wise.
Same setup normally works without issue.

Thanks for asking.

What happens if you check all the file type boxes in the dialog during import, does it work then? If that doesn't work you may have to adjust the file types for the files in a disc folder structure (which most people use actual video files, e.g. MKVs and MP4s).

You could try importing from a drive letter.  Assign command?
