Netflix integration
« on: Yesterday at 11:54:12 pm »

Hello,

I’m a beginner with JRiver and the following thread is very useful if you want to use Netflix in theater view mode : https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,129325.msg897358.html#msg897358

If for audio part it is clear how the rendering works, it is not so clear for video. Which renderer is used ? I guess it is not JRVR because I can see clearly my 3D luts are not applied.

Thanks

Both audio and video are done by the browser. There is no way around that due to DRM requirements. All we can do is help the browser to play higher quality variants of the videos.

Thank you. This is a great integration by the way.

From my first test, it seems I cannot get 4k whereas with my appletv I can. Could you tell me where in the wiki or forum I could dive for trying to improve this, Thanks.

In my experience 4K only works with HDR, but the experience seems to vary by video.
