New skin -- AMPED
« on: January 29, 2003, 09:29:26 am »

We just received a great new skin, called AMPED.

The mini skin is here:

http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/downloads/list.pl?RECENT=1&version=mini

There is also a matching mega skin.

Thanks, Booster!

Well, what can I say....
what a truly awesome skin!!!

chico, I'm using the latest beta atm, and my time counter could do with being a couple pixels to the left too, no biggie though, it is still readable.

Also...
I installed the mini-me variety first, then the mega-me. They both installed fine, but when I tried going back to mini-me, it popped a load of "failed" and "try reinstalling MC" error dialogues and went back to the default mini-me skin. Re-d'loading the amped mini-me seems to have fixed this however :)

Why did amped install for me but LowerRight won't install for me?  I'm on the latest build, .104.

Picky, but skins are all about looks, so here's some constructive criticism:

Activate the transparent effects and let this skin go transparent.  You can see the lines (for lack of a better word) behind it:

Is this planned?  It does kind of throw off the skin's "Chi" a bit.  Looks stellar non-transparent, though!   ;D

Kurt,

Looks like those lines are outlines of the equilizer window. They disappear when you slide the equilizer out from behind the main window.

Strange...

Great skin!

This is just what MC9 needs to go against WMP9 and Real Player.

Looks like the skin either doesn't include or isn't registering the lcd font that it apparently uses for the time display.

As Doof suggested,

Dropping the Digital2.ttf file (included with the skin) into the 'Windows\Fonts' directory  fixes the time counter problem.

I don't have time to take a screenshot right now, but is anybody having the same problem I am when I right click on the amped and amped2 skin? I'm not sure this was there until the font fix was introduced, so it may be related.

Trust me, if you're experiencing it, you'll know what I'm talking about as soon as you right click on the skin. :)

Hi Doof, I use MJ8 and don't have any problem with right click, the only problem is the counter
