New PC Need to change out from MP3
« on: December 16, 2024, 04:15:25 pm »

Hi folks - I had to get a new PC. the output is MP3, I need to to change it to WAV/Flac. and I forgot how to do it.  I know it's in audio settings somewhere, just can't put my finger on it.
Thanks.

Normally, the file type  (WAV or MP3) determines that, but please describe your setup in some detail.

I have ripped most of my CDs to a PC hard drive. Mostly WAV and some flac.  I use JRiver to get the music to my system.  A Yamaha AVR.  I want it to play in PCM not MP3.

Using DLNA or something like that? Media Network? You'll have to set it to not convert audio.

Yes exactly. DLNA.  Think I found it.  It now says PCM in the audio information of the AVR.
Thank you.
