Will someone please help with PonoRevealer function
« on: January 03, 2025, 11:27:43 am »

I have had a Pono Player since 2015. I use to use it a lot during travel, but the last 8 – 10 years it just sat gathering dust. I never really used the Pono Music World app except to download the firmware updates. I have recently started to use the player again. I was able to find a program that allows me to add the tag to the file information that allows the blue light on the Pono Player to function correctly.

I have installed Pono Music World version 20.0.141 on an old laptop (with a BIOS date of 6/3/2016) that is not connected to the internet. The program mostly works as expected, except the creating a PonoRevealer track. I get an error that says “Errors occurred generating this PonoRevealer Track. Please try a different song.”  The Pono Player has firmware version v1.0.6. I never tried this feature before now and I can’t find much information about it online.
I was hoping that someone would be able to enlighten me as to how Pono Music World created the files for the Revealer function on the Pono Player. And can this be accomplished manually?

Is it possible to obtain a copy of Pono Music World that supports creating Pono Revealer files that I could install on a computer that has internet access? Would that maybe correct my issue?

I am a supporter of Media Center and have been for a long time. I don’t buy every new version, but usually every other version. I don’t use most of the new features, but I believe in helping independent developers make some money for their hard work.

Any help with the Pono Player software will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
LaVerne K

Please ignore the message above. It goes back to RTFM. I have used Media Center for many years, but I have never dug in to see what it will do beyond playing my Hi-Rez files. You can make the different files (.mp3, CD 44.1/16, and 96k/24 or what ever you want) and move them into the .revealer folder on the Pono Player.
