It's possible, assuming this area of MC is the same on Mac as it is on Windows.
Simply remove the selection from the "Expand Links" checkbox in the smartlist header (snap-033 below)
If you're not seeing any of that, look over on the right, below the search box, click on those downwards facing arrows (snap-034 below) to expand the header.
If the Mac version differs from Windows here, you'll need to hang on a little longer for a Mac Pro to chime in with better help
