In theatre view, thumbnails for artist images only displays image for the first listed artist.

I have mocked the following up to help explain

1. [artist] = Simon & Garfunkel;P Simon;A Garfunkel (list)
2. Saved three different artist images in correct folder called Simon & Garfunkel.jpg P Simon.jpg and A Garfunkel.jpg
3. In standard library view, list style thumbnails, view as categories is [artist]. This displays correctly with the three thumbnails showing the three appropriate artist images (see library view.png)
4. In theatre view the only image displayed is the first listed artist (Simon & Garfunkel) for all 3.  (see theatre view.png)

Is this a bug using Theatre View? Thanks for any clarification.

It looks like you're assigning the 3 Artists to all files - why not assign each file to the corresponding Artist only? (solo works to Simon or Garfunkel, duet works to Simon&Garfunkel)

MC is just assigning the cover of the first item in each group, which is always the same because all 3 groups have the same 3 files in the same order. I see the behavior in Theater view is different, but I don't know why. MC has ways to cycle through the cover shown for a stack/group of items for the user to select which cover he wants to see - again, not sure if this applies to Theater view. Someone else may chime in with more details.

Yes, you are correct in saying MC is just assigning cover of the first item but only in theatre view. Standard view handles it correctly as displayed.

The purpose of having artist entered as a list is the benefit of a list - selection by solo artist also bring ups up duet works and so on. So if I select McCartney the next level gives option of solo works, Wings works or Beatles works. In my library I wish to use this feature many times.

I have amassed many thousands of artist images over the years and would like the theatre view to display correctly. Can theatre view behaviour be changed?
