Can’t rip unknown CD [Solved]
« on: March 11, 2025, 08:40:33 pm »

I am using MC 32 to rip CDs with two external drives. I inserted a CD in each drive and only one was identified as a particular album. The second disc is a recent release so that is not surprising. I went ahead and ripped the known disc successfully. Later I came back and manually entered all the track information for the new CD. At that point I was unable to rip it. Initially the program reported that a disc was not found in the drive where the new CD was inserted. I played around and tried using the other drive. Eventually the new CD was recognized and all the track information I had entered appeared. The disc is still marked “Unknown” in the left hand column of MC but I was able to play individual tracks from the drive. However when I select “Rip Disc”, nothing happens.

I can’t reproduce the problem, the disc has now been ripped successfully.
