My request would be to do what it takes to get Volume Leveling working much much better.

I'm constantly having to adjust the volume between some tracks as the levels vary too much.

In past years I've sent many example of tracks that play dramatically different than other tracks.

There is no way for me to check/prove this, but I seem to remember that the old ReplayGain seemed to work much better.

Volume levelling works fine in my experience. I think you would need to provide examples showing what you think is wrong otherwise how to know what to fix?

There are no known issues.

Remember that volumes can be different if the tracks are on the same album with differing levels.

Thanks.  I've used ReplayGain and VolumeLeveling for years with MediaCenter.

I've asked for fixes and reported problems and posted tracks to show the problem in the past.

While not always the case, the loudest tracks are usually hi-rez tracks.

Both are analyzed, and I re-analyzed them both today, no change from prior values.

I usually have over 100 hours in my PlayingNow list.

So let me ask you this:  Will the relative volume difference between these two track be the same or different when they are the only 2 items in PlayingNow or when they are in Playing now with well over 100 hours of tracks in the list?

I'll add that my playlists have songs that have perceived different volume and it is annoying (and has been for years). My playlists rarely have the same artist twice and rarely have the same album twice.  I use both the volume leveling done by the analysis AND volume leveling and adaptive volume in DSP.   I just live with the perceived volume level variance and occasionally adjust the volume.  I do not understand why the difference, BUT I think that it may be that the more compressed music seems to sound louder even after the analysis, the volume leveling and the adaptive volume adjustments

Adaptive Volume will in parts break volume leveling. If you want the most consistent result, don't use Adaptive Volume, and don't use upmixing, as both of those will adjust the perceived volume.

If the two tracks are from the same album there would be a difference in relative volume because volume leveling tries to preserve intra-track dynamics within albums.  So if the two same-album tracks are the only tracks in playing now or are consecutive tracks in a larger playlist you should expect there to be a difference in relative volume between them.

If the two tracks are from different albums then, as I understand it, they should have the same relative volume whether there are two tracks or a hundred tracks in playing now.

I suspected that having a large playlist may adversely affect Volume Leveling and you have eliminated that as an issue.

So as I've been reporting since at least 2014, I have to constantly adjust the volume between some tracks using Volume Leveling.

I have a DSP setting I apply to those OMG loud tracks to lower the level to closer match the other tracks.

Some tracks are VERY low in volume to the majority of other tracks.
