My regular vieuw skin is gone

My regular view skin is gone, and now there is a very simple one.
and MC wouldn't change it to another one in MC32

For example 822.mjp

Can somebody help me

Are you changing it from inside the program?  If so, and it doesn't work, try installing again.

AD 822.mjp is for the Windows Media Player 11 Skin from the Skins Download page which of course needs downloading and installing.

None of them appear to be working... When I open the mjp file, the MC package installer progress dialogue flashes on and off, and nothing is downloaded.
Direct download also fails with a browser download attempt with a "requested url not found on server" error.

Could this be an http vs https thing?

I seem to recall the skins download page had "Install" links rather than "Download" links? You just clicked and the skin was installed and applied.

With the imminent EOL of Windows 10, I've recently moved to a new Windows 11 machine, and have to say, so far, everything about it has been like walking uphill through treacle. It's really not been a good experience. Why did they choose to remove the quick launch and custom toolbars? I've had to resort to an explorer.exe hack to get that back, and that's never a good thing!

I've had to merge a registry hack found on Windows support just to get the ability to mount an iso file. The whole sorry saga has made me quite grumpy :)

Either that or what happened to me when I downloaded all of them as part of Project Merlin - the mjp files are in an old format and running any one of them not only installs the skin but pits MC into Random Skin Change Mode until you restart it.

Hello Jim,
U spreekt ook Nederlands he. Ik heb bv 822.mjp gedownload vanuit de Plugins Download en dat werkt niet,ook anderen werken niet.Ik gebruik nu MJ32 en wacht op mijn reeds betaalde MJ34.Misschien dat dan alles weer werkt.
Ps ik heb MJ32 al twee keer opnieuw geinstalleerd.Dus in afwachting verblijf ik  (G) Sjef Tiemessen

Old http urls, not https which probably works.

I'm not sure why that would be missing. The database has been in place for months. I'll check it out.
