I’m running MC 33.0.71 on a Windows 11 laptop, and I am having a problem with an image playlist/slideshow when sending it to a Sony Bravia TV. The first photo in the playlist will display on the Sony, but the next photo isn’t automatically displayed. When I select Playing Now to be my laptop, Player, the playlist will play all of the photos in the playlist. This is the first time I’m doing anything with images using MC, so maybe I’m doing something wrong.
I’m using Generic DLNA for the Sony, and none of the DLNA Controller Options are checked. The Sony TV has the renderer turned on. I can play an audio playlist to the Sony without any problems.
I found I can play the image playlist if I hit the HOME button on the Sony remote. When I hit HOME, the Sony will display the Home screen then 5-6 seconds later it will display the next photo in the playlist. I’ve checked the Sony settings and reviewed the MC options, and I don’t see anything obvious that could be causing the problem. I’ve done some Google searches and didn’t find anything helpful. Is there an MC or Sony setting that I missed? If you need any more info, let me know.
